the Japanese architecture & design exhibition curated by Kenya Hara, will launch a brand new CHINA HOUSE VISION in Beijing this September.
Crossboundaries will contribute as one of the ten cooperating architects to design and build a pavilion to demonstrate a conceptual home of future.
THEME: NEW GRAVITY
the exhibition will open to public during 21st Sep. to 6th Nov. right next to the Olympic Stadium (Bird's Nest).
Together with FCJZ, MAD, DESHAUS, OPEN and others, Crossboundaries has been working closely with Kengo Kuma, who is in charge of the overall planning and design of the CHV venue. Additionally to the ten architectural offices contributing there are ten brands cooperating. In partnership the architects and brands are paired up to combine their understanding and technology together to create a vision for the "future home".
Crossboundaries has been working with TCL to bring a prototype of future daily living into real, featured by interactive TV sets that TCL developed.
Visitors to CHV will find ten different models of "future home" in 1:1 scale, ranging from houses built by bamboo, timber and stone, to homes full of high-tech applications like IoT and AI.
