Making Space 2016 award for SOYOO

On Nov. 28th, 2016, Crossboundaries received the “Making Space 2016 award for excellence” in the design for children and young people, in the category “Learning”. The award was given for the design of our building SOYOO Joyful Growth Center in Zhengzhou.

We are appreciating the international recognition and are extremely happy that part of the jury consisted of children and young people.
Here are some words and phrases from the young jury to describe the winning entry:
-fun, mystical and colorful
-very creative and interactive
-use of complementary colors
-very accessible
-great use of vibrant color, lots of of variety of shape and space
-innovative – familiar with the locals but turned into something modern and accessible.
-addition of vibrant colors and more imaginative shapes to be fit for purpose.
-the vinyl strings around the façade of the building creating interesting shadows while adding extra charm and fun without adding extra cost
-last of all the building gives a feel of the game of Kerplunk with all circular tubes.”
