Opening Zhengtong BMW Museum

On November 25, the Zhengtong BMW Museum in Beijing, which was designed by Crossboundaries in cooperation with the China Design Team at BMW, was finally opened for the public.

Head of the BMW Group's China sales region Olaf Kastner was also attending.
Words from the opening ceremony: “From today, right here in Beijing, BMW fans and owners can enjoy easily enjoy the heritage, history and future of BMW without leaving the country to visit Munich.”

The Museum displays a huge collection of vintage cars unique in China. The design plays with layers of red fabric, suspended from the ceiling referencing a traditional Chinese gateway, which welcomes the visitors. The exhibition space behind is draped in white, which frame and surround the vintage cars and contrast to hard mirror and white glass surfaces.

We are thankful for the great reception of the Museum and wish all visitors a joyful time in the unique space surrounded by unique cars.

For those interested in visiting the museum, please visit Zhengtong BMW Museum‘s website for making an appointment and further information. Stay tuned for more information on the project on our website soon.
