Q Bar

Framing the city for drinks at sundown

High up on the city roof tops, bed boxes frame night views of the city and sculptural steles define the limits of this outdoor space. Creating an environment half enclosed to baffle sound, allow intimacy and stimulate curiosity.

Framing the city for drinks at sundown

Creating different views and places to hide, vertical stele, 3.5m high, and bed-boxes enclose the space vertically and horizontally. By repeating these devices the space is organized, separated and scaled. Providing shelter and practically providing storage. Reducing the visual pollution, minimal materials are used. Red paint creating a plain subdued background for the bar crowd. Combined with textured wood panels.
